The Gaming MUST BUY Holiday 2021 List

Updated: Dec 16, 2021

For enthusiasts of specific consoles or the gamer in your life who already has it all, this list will help level up your video game shopping this holiday season!

Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller

This is the ultimate Xbox controller. Adding a ton of customization to your controller experience. Being able to change thumbsticks, paddle shapes, and with added paddles, this is quite the upgrade!

Razer Wolverine V2 Wired Gaming Controller -

This can be used on PC or Xbox, but I love that it has two extra remappable buttons on this and some extra customization as well. I just picked this up and love that I can map things like push-to-talk on the extra buttons. These buttons are EXTRA tactile almost like using a mechanical keyboard with these clicks.

Custom Designed Xbox Controller -

Not quite finding the perfect controller? Design one yourself! There are tons of options all around for you to have the best-looking controller here.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate: 3 Month Membership -

“The best deal in Gaming” – QTB team (probably) Such an awesome value! Give them the gift of games.

Nintendo Switch

I love the feel of the Nintendo Switch Pro controller! One of my favorite controllers to use on any console. Such a great addition to this console.

SanDisk 512GB Extreme microSDXC -

Bump up the storage on that Nintendo Switch! If they are looking to download any digital games, a good memory card is needed. Nintendo Switch Online 12 month membership - The gift of online play!

Playstation DualSense Wireless Controller -

My favorite is the White version, but that Cosmic Red looks pretty fresh! Sony - PlayStation 5 - DualSense Charging Station – White

Keep those controllers charged with this sleek charging station. XPG 1TB GAMMIX S70 Blade SSD - Add extra storage to that PS5 at a reasonable price.

PC Gaming

Buying a gaming mouse is a tough one. Finding one that fits your hand size and grip type matters! I suggest going into a local store and trying a few out to see what you like. Here are a few suggestions:

Logitech G305 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse -

A great little mouse. Got this for my wife Amanda and it has been great for both work and gaming. A number of fun colors to choose from.

Razer Viper Ultimate -

Well built, wireless, and lightweight. This mouse has a lot going for it! Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT -

The lightest of the bunch, but also the most expensive! Expect a premium price for this premium mouse.

Logitech G502 HERO -

Like your mouse just a little heftier? The G502 is a classic for FPS games. A heavier option, but a great feel in the hand with a lot of customization.

Mouse Pads
This might seem mundane but adding a high-quality mouse pad can really improve your game! Adding a XXL mat is an awesome upgrade.

Shameless self-promotion for some great lookin’ mousepads! Glorious XXL Extended Gaming Mouse Mat -

This is a great, subdued option.

Razer Goliathus Extended Chroma Gaming Mousepad -

Feel the need to RGB ALL the things? It is your time.

I prefer a mechanical keyboard for gaming. If you want to try them out, head to a local store and test out the different types of keys to find what you like!

ANNE PRO 2, 60% Wired/Wireless Mechanical Keyboard -

An awesome 60% keyboard option for under $100. The Gateron keys feel great (I prefer the Gateron Brown keys).

EPOMAKER EP84 84-Key RGB Hotswap Wired Mechanical Gaming Keyboard -

Ever try an 84 key keyboard? I love the size of them. A great balance of size and usability. Personally, 60% of keyboards are too small for me, but this is the sweet spot! SteelSeries Apex 7 TKL Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard -

Want a few extras with your keyboard? This one has a smart display, volume wheel, and detachable magnetic wrist rest, just for starters.

Having a solid headset is a Game Changer! Comfort, sound quality, and ease of use are all things to consider. Here are a few of my top picks:

Logitech G PRO X Gaming Headset -

A quality headset that has a solid microphone on it as well. The Microphone is detachable as well if you want to use something else as your primary mic. (Usable on - PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS5 , PS4, Nintendo Switch) Razer BlackShark V2 X Gaming Headset -

A cheaper option that still looks and sounds good. Wireless and higher quality versions available. (Usable on - PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Mobile)

SteelSeries Arctis 1 Wireless Gaming Headset -

You’d be hard-pressed to find a better Wireless gaming headset under $100! A great option for PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC users. (Usable on - PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Android)

Razer Kishi USB-C -

Razer Kishi iOS -

Razer Kishi is an awesome device that adds low latency gameplay with so much more control! With so many great cloud gaming platforms now, this is an amazing way to play Game Pass Ultimate, Stadia, and more on your mobile device. PowerA MOGA Mobile Gaming Clip -

This is a cheaper option for cloud gaming. Add this clip to your Xbox One controller to mount your phone to your controller!

Miscellaneous Goodness:

OXO Good Grips Electronics Cleaning Brush -

This lil' guy is a lifesaver! Clean out the thumbsticks on your controller or brush out the crud from your mouse.

Falcon Dust Off – Compressed Air -

Might sound lame, but a clean gaming area is a must! Keep those expensive electronics operational!

Focus by ADVANCED -

Does your favorite gamer need a little extra boost? This stuff helps your crush those long gaming sessions and maybe even work sessions too? Who knows!

Come on, these are just FUN!
