STEP 4: Wipe Again!

Best Practices

For best results, use the flat side of the foam tip applicator to evenly apply the solution for a polished shine. When working on holographic cards, gently swipe the tip across the holo portion only, avoiding non-holo areas. After application, use a soft cleaning cloth in a circular motion to ensure the card is clean and fully dry. If you're unsure, always test on a lower-value card first before applying it to higher-end collectibles.

While our products are designed to be safe, any solution used on delicate surfaces like trading cards carries some inherent risk. If a card's clear coating is compromised, excessively worn, or has a manufacturing defect that exposes the ink layer, further damage may occur - regardless of the product or care used.

It’s worth noting that major grading companies such as PSA, CGC, and TAG have now introduced their own card cleaning services, further legitimizing the practice of careful surface cleaning when done responsibly. However, we strongly encourage collectors to use their best judgment and always proceed with caution.

Certain Pokémon cards require extra care, and we do not recommend using cleaning products on Legendary Treasures Radiant Collection, Japanese Pokékyun, and similar cards. These specific print runs feature a delicate holographic overlay that differs from standard foil processes. Any cleaning solution can unintentionally remove this overlay, as it sits on the surface and is not part of the base card material.
